Some may say that a hat is not necessary for spring, but it is not so! This year, the unpleasant cold wind and the morning frosts, which bother many drivers, have not left us.

Come together with us to overcome the adverse spring weather and sew a simple double-sided cap , for which we need a piece of cotton knitwear left over from a sewn T-shirt, or reach for new neon knitwear and brighten up the spring days. What we will need for the cap:

• cotton neon knit - 30 cm
• sewing thread
• needles, pins , chalk and scissors

How to sew a hat:

We fold the fabric face to face and trace the cut 4 times side by side on the reverse side to create 2 side by side hat shapes and add to the seams.

We fold the pleats face to face on the lower and upper caps and sew them together .

We fold the cap in half face to face and sew it around the perimeter . At the inner cap, we leave a small unsewn hole for turning the cap to the cheek.

Place both caps face to face and sew them together at the bottom . After sewing the cap through the unsewn opening, turn it inside out .

The opening for turning can be sewn by hand or on a sewing machine.

Flatten the cap and sew both layers together with decorative stitching 3 cm from the bottom edge .

The double-sided cap is ready and you don't have to worry, anyone can sew it. Now all you have to do is plan a trip for the weekend, cover your ears with a new hat and go on an adventure. Enjoy a beautiful weekend and show off your sewn hat that accompanied you on the trip.
