How to choose the right cut and material for a party skirt

Created12/30/2018

New Year's celebrations and balls around the corner, this is the perfect opportunity for a new skirt!

I personally love skirts. Long, midi and short, from yle, knit, taffeta, satin , anything. A skirt is a basic element of the wardrobe, it can be combined with a shirt or blouse and go out in it to the theater, to a ball or a wedding, or take a tank top and sweater with it and you can go to the streets, cafes, cinema or to work.

The most versatile length is midi, it reaches mid-calf, it fits anywhere and for any cut!

It is important to choose the cut and length according to your body type and height.

A-line and sheath skirt

The versatile A-line and sheath are the most popular skirt cuts ever. Choose the length of the skirt according to which part of the figure you want to highlight or hide. You will shine at every ball in a long A-line skirt made of taffeta or satin , it is simple, sews well and is easy to combine. In addition, with a different top, you will have a slightly different model every time.

A sheath shorter skirt or dress looks great on all figures, and suitable material can be suit jackets or extravagant sequined fabrics .

Balloon skirt and skirt with ruffles

Ruffles are a feminine element and are suitable for hourglass, pear and apple figures. However, it depends on the material and design. If you're overweight and don't want to attract even more attention, it's a good idea to make a frill out of flowing fabric .

Balloon shoes are especially suitable for skinny figures and skinny legs.

Wrap and wheel skirt

Wrap and circle skirts suit all shapes and in all lengths. Flowing and soft materials are ideal.

Single-colored skirts are easier to combine and less eye-catching, but it is not taboo to choose a brightly colored pattern, for example on a black background. It only depends on you. In the same way, it is your choice whether you choose tulle, costume fabric, knitwear, cotton, taffeta, satin, lace, or any other fabric . The only important thing is that you like it and feel comfortable in it. :)
