Preparations for Christmas are in full swing!

The sweets are baked, the houses are cleaned, the gifts are bought and now all you have to do is wrap them and wait for December 24th.

This year, let's forget about the classic wrapping papers with reindeer, snowmen, and snowflakes and let's start together with creative and unsophisticated gift wrapping, which won't take a lot of time and will make the gifts under the tree look luxurious.

You've probably heard of the ancient Japanese gift-wrapping tradition called Furoshiki (or, popularly, ``for silly Honzu''), when everything is wrapped in fabrics , scarves or cloth bags and suddenly one gift becomes two.

Let's take a closer look at this mysterious technique together:

The ideal shape of the fabric is a square, which must be large enough to wrap your gift so that the longest side is 1/3 of the size of the fabric.

The first flower technique:

we need - two fabrics ( satin and organza ), elastic band

- we put both fabrics on top of each other and put a gift in the middle

- put the opposite corners together and tie them all together behind a rubber band

- we will arrange everything so that the organza and the shiny side of the satin stand out beautifully

- put the ends of the satin under the rubber band and this will create a beautiful flower

The second rose technique:

we need - two fabrics ( satin and organza ), 2x rubber bands

- put both fabrics on top of each other and place the package in the middle

- connect the two opposite corners together with a rubber band and straighten them

- start wrapping the two opposite ends around each other and tuck the ends under the rubber band to create a solid rose flower

Third knot technique:

we need - fabric (we chose satin)

- first we put it on the fabric box

- always tie two opposite ends together

- we gradually tie all the ends together in simple knots

Fourth Flower Knot Technique:

we need - 2 fabrics ( satin and organza )

- we put both fabrics on top of each other and place the package in the middle

- tie the opposite corners in two knots and tighten

- we arrange all the ends into a beautiful flower

The fifth bottle packing technique:

we need - fabric

- place the bottle diagonally in the middle of the long strip of fabric

- we fold the opposite corners at the bottom and neck of the bottle over each other

- we wrap the two remaining corners twice and tie them into two tight knots from the other side of the bottle

The sixth technique of tying into the shape of a bag:

we need - a scarf or fabric

- fold the corner of the unfolded fabric as shown in the picture

- tie the two extreme corners of the fabric with two knots

- we tie the third bent corner of the fabric together with the last fourth knot

- by tying, we will create a bag or bag for gifts

The Furoshiki technique hides a lot of instructions and it is worth exploring and using it not only for Christmas gifts.

The weather is beautiful outside, go to the forest to collect twigs and pine cones and use them to wrap gifts. Instead of classic paper, use synthetic paper for creating and sewing , which will delight every creative soul.

Wrapping gifts is mainly supposed to be fun, enjoy it, be inspired by our instructions and try something new.
