Original wrapped gifts in pieces of fabric

Created12/16/2016

Have you bought all your gifts yet? I'm rolling quite a bit for this year and I already have almost everything, but now I still have to figure out how to pack them in an original way. I searched the internet and found this great way that I have to share with you.

What are we going to lie to seamstresses, but we all probably have a magical box at home with lots of scraps, scraps, which we are sorry to throw away, because you never know when they will come in handy :)

After researching original decorated gifts, I found the Japanese furoshiki technique, which focuses on wrapping gifts on various fabrics . At first glance it looks quite complicated, but after a few tries it's not so bad. This is how we use the leftovers from the box beautifully and at least no one can tell us that it's time to sort it out.

What substances to use for this?

From my own experience, I recommend softer fabrics that can be shaped well, such as knitwear , but also cotton full of patterns and colors. Denim is a popular material for sewing, so you will find such pieces of fabric in your box. It will take a little patience with denim , but it will definitely pay off. You can decorate the package with lace and create an original bow from shiny satin or taffeta .

Take a look at a little inspiration and let yourself be tempted like me by the original furoshiki fabric packaging

I wish you a beautiful golden Sunday
